In a conversation with a Sport.ua correspondent, Yaroslav Khoma talked about who was interested in his disqualification for allegedly using prohibited drugs and gave advice to the player of the national team of Ukraine and “Chelsea” Mykhailo Mudryk, who was at the center of a doping scandal:
– Then I trivially became a hostage of the conflict between FFU (now UAF) and Karpaty. I don’t know on whose initiative, but I was chosen as the scapegoat.
– However, you were one of the leaders of “Karpat”, called up to the ranks of the national team of Ukraine.
– This was the insidiousness of the plan: to disable a player from the starting line-up of the “green and white”. But I knew for sure that I did not take any drugs. Why, if even so physical condition was almost my main virtue.
– More than twenty years have passed, who could be the performer in this provocative story?
– The anti-doping laboratory then functioned only in Kyiv. After the verdict of its representatives, I went to the capital and asked them what drugs I was taking. He did not wait for the answer, because these drugs could not be a priori. My sentence was simply invented. By the way, when I soon went to a well-known clinic in Leverkusen, Germany, at my own expense to prove justice, I was immediately asked what the name of the anti-doping center in Kyiv was. It turned out that he was not licensed and did not have the right to take the quality analysis at all. By the way, the test I took in Leverkusen turned out to be negative.
– Did you report this to the FFU?
– No, because it turned out that the anti-doping center suddenly stopped functioning. Therefore, I consulted with the club management, and it was decided that in order to extinguish the tension between “Karpaty” and the all-powerful FFU, two more months would be missed. As a result, it turned out that I was without football for half the season.
– Now another doping scandal has arisen – with Ukrainian national team linebacker Mykhailo Mudryk.
– It seems that in my case there were more specifics. First of all, it is known for certain that the sample was taken after the match between Dynamo and Karpaty. And there is still a lot of confusion in the story of the Wise Man. At first it was said that the sample was taken after a match with the participation of his club – “Chelsea”, then information appeared that after one of the November matches against the Ukrainian national team in the League of Nations. This is a somewhat different situation, here it is impossible to do without an investigation by the UAF.
– What would you advise the Wise man with your experience of fighting for the truth?
– In 2003, I could rely only on my own strength, because the club management did not want to completely spoil the relationship with FFU led by Hryhoriy Surkis. After Mudryk’s first test turned out to be positive, and he made a statement that he had not taken anything prohibited, they made the right decision to enlist the support of a well-known law firm whose client was the French football player Paul Pogba when considering the case of a positive doping test in Sportivny . arbitration court Of course, we still need to wait for the result of the second test, but even if it is positive, Mikhail cannot stop, but should continue to fight for the truth. Therefore, I want to wish the Wise man courage and perseverance in this battle.
