– How do you evaluate the preparation of the team for the first official match and for the new season in general?
– Finally, official matches are returning to our lives, and immediately qualifying for the right to participate in the Champions League. It’s always a test, and it is not easy. We are well aware that the meeting, whatever they may be, is a difficult period for players. It is an attempt to “pump” your character and physical condition. We would have been faced with several problems, but rather trials, because different groups of players started meeting at different periods.
This is due to the matches of the national team, as well as the youth, which performed at the European Championship. So there were some points, but I hope all the players are now in good shape. However, I cannot say for sure that they are 100%ready. Tomorrow will be only the first game, and of course, it adds excitement, but it should be. In general, the team is ready, and we are well aware of what tasks we are facing.
– Khamrun Spartans in the previous stage was played after the defeat of 0: 2 from “Szaurgis”. What are the strengths of this team? What should they expect?
– One of the strengths of our rival is an Italian coach who heads the team. Khamrun Spartans tactically builds its game quite competently-it showed a match in which they completely “destroyed” “Szaurgis”, acted aggressively, with great forces, used many flank attacks. I think the same game can be expected tomorrow.
– Are all players ready for the match, are there any losses?
– Unfortunately, we have two losses – Valentin Rubchinsky, who will not be able to help us, and Angel Torres, who also suffered damage, he needs time. That is why they did not get into the application for these qualifying matches. The rest of the players are in a normal state and prepare for the game.
