According to insider Ben Jacobs, the football government and the sporting director of the Saudi Professional League, Michael Emenalo, are ready to make high-profile transfers after the World Cup in 2026.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Vinicius (Real), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) and Casemiro (Manchester United) are among the key candidates for a move to the local championship.
The Saudi clubs are also considering several other players from the English Premier League, including Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onan, as well as Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.
The initiative of football officials is aimed at maintaining interest in the Saudi championship, given the potential end of the career of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is highly likely to leave Al-Nasr after the end of his contract.
