France defeated Croatia in the 1/4 finals of the League of Nations by the sum of two matches (0: 2, 0: 2, Pen. 5: 4) and became a rival of Ukraine in the selection group.
Group D: France, Ukraine, Iceland, Azerbaijan. The matches will take place in September, October and November 2025.
The winner of the group will get into the final round of the World Cup 2026, and the teams that take the second place will play in the playoffs.
The World Cup will be held in the US, Canada and Mexico in the summer of 2026.
