“I made this decision even before Euro-2024. I understood that my time at Milan was coming to an end, but I didn’t need to announce anything to anyone but myself. My future was influenced by so many things: my family, the national team and Milan, my dream club.
I could easily make one more stop after Milan. But I don’t need it. I don’t regret anything. The last match I played at San Siro, and that experience… I knew very well that this was my end. Now is really the right time to close this chapter of my life.”
The last club in Simon Kier’s career was the Italian Milan, for which he played in 2020-2024. He also played for such famous teams as “Roma”, “Atalanta”, “Sevilla” and a number of less famous teams. In 2021, together with the Danish team, Simon Kjer reached the semifinals of the European Championship.
