Not saved. The Latvian national team lost to Armenia

On November 17, in the final match of the group stage of the League of Nations in Group 4 of League C, Latvia and Armenia met.

The home team needed a victory and a defeat of the Faroe Islands in the match against North Macedonia.

But we have to be honest – Armenia beat the opponent. After a goalless first half, Eduard Spertsyan immediately opened the scoring in the second half.

In the 70th minute, Roberts Uldrikis equalized the score and gave Latvians hope.

But Artur Miranyan put the Armenians ahead again in the 74th minute. The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the guests.

As a result, Armenia took the second place in the group and the next season will start again with League S. Latvia will have to play in the play-offs to keep their registration, as they finished in last place in the group.

Nice to have this win after this confusing season.

However, much bigger problems still remain to deal with 😐 pic.twitter.com/2Hgo0kz1wv
