“I think we lost the match in the first half. Then we had a lot of free space for the development of the game. Portugal was not so aggressive, but we were not as acute as in the previous ten matches. Everything was too slow, with lots of small mistakes.
We created four points, but these are not one hundred percent moments. In the first half, our gates had two or three moments when our team team in defense was not at high. Within ten minutes after the break, we were the best team on the field and went forward. At that moment it looked deserved.
Sometimes the goal gives you more strength, charges mood. But there are other situations where the goal clogged convinces you that everything is well and you relax a little. On this segment we played worse and missed two goals. It is a pity that it happened, but we got our merit, and therefore did not go to the finals.
This defeat is part of our path. To lose – it is a shame. But when you try to develop as a team, such unpleasant moments are inevitable. It is a natural part of a big path. Here it is important to learn the lessons learned in the played match. If we do it, we will step forward, ”the coach said.
