– Everything is fine, all the boys are trying to perform as well as possible. As for personnel potential, almost everyone we wanted to see is in the squad. Only Artem Stepanov was called up to the youth team, as he is needed there more now, and Bohdan Olychenko was injured, so we are urgently looking for his replacement.
– How well did you study your opponents?
– The coaching staff has enough information about opponents. In our group, all teams are of approximately the same level.
– However, can the blue-yellow team be called favorites of the quartet?
– On paper, it may look like that, but only the fights themselves will show who is worth what. Football is leveling off. If earlier with national teams of different age categories we passed some opponents relatively easily, now a lot has changed, the competition has increased.
– Is it difficult to start the competition with a match against the home team?
– It is not important for me. I believe in my wards and in our game. If the team plays at its true level, then everything will be fine.
– The primary task of the national team of Ukraine is to get out of first place or just get to the next stage of the competition?
– Our goal is to make it to the next round of European Championship selection. And from which place, it is not so important.
