The legendary Argentine scored the first goal in the 18th minute Lionel Messi. Luis Suarez assisted him, and Leo himself scored with a header.

Tadeo Allende scored the second goal for Javier Mascherano’s wards on the 62nd. On the 90th + 6th, Messi scored a double. Hani Mukhtar scored the only goal for the guests at 90+11.

All four ex-Barcelona players – Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba – played the entire match.

The return match is scheduled for November 2. If Nashville manages to win the second game (it doesn’t matter by what score – it’s possible even in a penalty shootout), then the fate of the confrontation will be decided in the third game.

Last season, Inter Miami was eliminated from the MLS playoffs in the Round of 16 by Atlanta, losing the series 1-2 after winning the first leg.
