Lyubenovych invited another Ukrainian to Georgia

Serb Zhelko Lyubenovychwho has connected his career with Ukraine for more than a decade and a half – first as a player, and then as a coach, even in absentia does not break ties with our country and in his work abroad.

Having led the Georgian “Gagra” last autumn, he expanded the list of Ukrainian legionnaires. If earlier there was only one Ilya Skrypnyk in his team, then in the 2026 season there will be three of our compatriots. In addition to Skrypnyk and the 22-year-old former striker of Bukovyna Andrii Andreychuk, about whose transfer Sport.ua recently reported, another Ukrainian joined Hagra – this is the 30-year-old goalkeeper Oleksandr Vorobey, whose previous club in his career was the Uzbek Nasaf.

“Vorobey is our biggest addition in the winter transfer window,” Zhelko Lubenovych commented on the acquisition. – At one time, he already defended the colors of “Gagra”, having spent three seasons in it.”

Last season, “Gagra” managed to take 5th place in the championship of Georgia under the leadership of Zhelko Lyubenovych.

Earlier, Željko Lyubenovych summed up the results of his first season in the championship of Georgia.
