“What is happening with us now is that we have four football players on the bench. This is impossible to do. We can see how the teams that want to play in the European Cups have strengthened their personnel: they are Shakhtar, Dynamo, Polissia, LNZ, Metalist 1925, the same Kolos. How strong this transfer window has been for them. Everything depends on how much we will strengthen and how dynamically we will develop in this regard.
Again, even if we didn’t improve, but simply remained the same team we played last season, that’s one question. If we are now talking about the fact that we have become weaker than in that season, this is another fact, and it should be taken into account. We also became weaker due to the fact that we expected Stetskov and Sych to return in preparation for the championship, but it happened as it happened. Eurocups are big ambitions and big investments in the club, not only financially, but also in work on the transfer market. This is important.
Relegation from the Cup? The Cup of Ukraine is very important to me, so of course that game left unpleasant feelings. We lost this match psychologically, because we were in a certain emotionally unstable state.
Personnel problems and the transfer market? This question is better to ask the managers of the club. But reinforcement is really needed. Every coach always wants to get stronger, but now it’s not about my desire, but about the fact that we entered the season unprepared. This question is open – both before and during the championship, and it will also be open in the winter.
Red cards? I have no conflicts with other coaches at all. I try not to pay attention to the comments of the opposing coaching staff, unless they are directed at me. I believe that I am the most tolerant coach, I never have conflicts with judges. What happened – I agree, it was a mistake on one side.
