Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois agrees with Manchester City midfielder Rodra, who recently said the players could go on strike due to the high number of matches in the season. 
“Rodra is right. We have a lot of matches. Fans want to see the best quality of football, so you need to find a balance. Too many matches, too many injuries. And the League of Nations, and the Club World Cup, and other tournaments only add matches.”
“People say that we cannot complain because of our high salaries. High salaries are true, but a balance is needed, otherwise the best players will not be able to constantly go on the field” because of fatigue and injuries,” said Courtois.
