Leonenko named the Dynamo player who needs to end his career

Former Dynamo Kyiv player Viktor Leoneko assessed the prospects of Andriy Yarmolenko, the winger of the White-Blues, and also advised the player to think about ending his professional career:

– Yarmolenko came out against Zora at the end of the match. Do you think he has already reconciled with Shovkovsky?

– I will give a sad example. For a while, one Dynamo captain, Buyalskyi, sat in the reserve, now another captain is on the “bench” – Yarmolenko. Guinness should be called here to record this moment, how one captain replaces another. There is no such thing anywhere, only Dynamo can have it.

Yarmolenko should go to Ihor Mykhailovych Surkis and take the place of sports director, although I don’t understand why, because Kyivans don’t buy anyone anyway.

– Maybe Yarmolenko wants to break Shatskyi’s record for performance in the Ukrainian Premier League?

– To beat him, you need to play for another couple of years. And what will this record give to Yarmolenko? Here he has to choose: continue to be ashamed for the sake of the record or finish his career, – Leonenko is sure.

In the current season, Yarmolenko played 12 matches in all tournaments, in which he was not distinguished by productive actions. The winger’s contract expires in June 2026.
