Kyiv Dynamo sent its representative to Barcelona

Director of the medical department of Dynamo Kyiv Andriy Shmorhun took part in a prestigious international event – the sixth summit of the institute of the famous Spanish orthopedist and traumatologist Ramon Cugat.

The forum lasted two days and brought together about a hundred participants: sports doctors from different countries, local students, physiotherapists and specialists working in leading football clubs in Europe.

Andriy Shmorgun told more about the event:

– The medical summit was held at the Ramon Cugat Institute, which is a leading specialist in sports medicine, particularly in the field of knee joint reconstruction. The main issue discussed at this conference is the conservative treatment of the knee joint of the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. Very interesting techniques from different parts of Europe and the world were presented. Even American specialists from the Boston Institute were present.

So we received very useful material that can be used in sports medicine in Ukraine as well. In addition, there are already results when this technique was applied successfully. But, of course, there must be certain conditions of injury.

There was also a meeting with Professor Ramon where we discussed some treatment issues. In addition, he presented an autobiographical book and gave us several copies, it is very interesting. So we continue to maintain relations with this institute.

I would like to note that a physiotherapist from “Girona” was present at the summit – he gave a report on conservative treatment of anterior cruciate ligaments. Through him, congratulations were sent to our boys.
