Juventus coach: “It’s always difficult to play against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu”

On Wednesday, October 22, the match of the third round of the Champions League took place, in which Real Madrid and Italian Juventus played. “Vershkovi” won with a minimum score of 1:0.

After this confrontation, the coach of the Turin club Igor Tudor commented on the defeat and admitted that it is always difficult to play at the Bernabeu:

“It’s painful. We implemented what we planned, and I think the team came together. It is difficult to play against Real Madrid here at the Bernabeu. They press, you have the ball a little less than you are used to. Tactically, maybe we could have added a little, but it wasn’t just about us. The opponent also played.

The result is important, but I have the feeling that we did not squeeze the maximum out of this situation. We did everything we could, but missed the moment when we could have turned our chance into a goal. This is a good test for my team.

Perhaps this is the most difficult stadium we had to perform at. I think we deserved more and although we lost, the feeling for the future can be good if we analyze our actions.

Dushan Vlahovych demonstrated a quality game. When you are 60 meters from the ball and constantly under pressure from the opponent, it is not easy. I am pleased with Federico Gatti and Pierre Kalul, who gave their all, especially when you remember that they were up against Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe. We have a couple of home games ahead of us, and our ticket to the playoffs is still completely in our hands,” concluded Tudor.
