Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Sergey Rebrov remembered the match against the Romanian national team (0:3) at the European Football Championship in the “Straight Red” project.
“Playing with the Romanian national team at the Euro? Of course, after the match you analyze the whole game and think that you could change it. But I do not think that our preparation was insufficient for this game. Football is a complicated process. If we control the ball 65-70%, it does not mean that we will win the game.
It is very important that we are better than the opponent in all aspects. Therefore, after this game, we made conclusions. And already in the match with Slovakia, we showed that we want to win. Perhaps we didn’t beat that team completely on the field, but we played better than against Romania,” Rebrov noted.
