Sports doctor Dmytro Babelk commented on Milambo’s injury:
“Brentford attacking prospect Antony Milambo, who the Bees bought for €20m this summer, tore his cruciate ligaments in action for the Netherlands U-21s.
It is a very unfortunate injury, because it will take the player out of the game for the rest of the season. Despite his young age, Antony showed himself well in Feyenoord, which earned him the attention of the EPL club and a solid price tag. This season, he was actively involved in the games of the first team and went through the process of adaptation.
This is the second time in a row that Brentford’s main attacking transfer has suffered a significant injury and missed the season. Last season, this fate befell Igor Thiago, who has now recovered and is successfully performing the role of the Londoners’ main striker this season.”

Brentford Message
