The latest issue of the Spanish edition of Marca came out with a cover dedicated to success Thibaut Courtois. It is reported that the goalkeeper of “Real” leads among the goalkeepers of the top-5 leagues of Europe in terms of the number of saves made.
According to Marca, the Belgian recorded 174 saves. A similar indicator is demonstrated by Gregor Kobel, who defends the colors of Borussia Dortmund.
Next on the list are Mile Svilar from Roma and Sergio Herrera from Osasuna – both have 138 saves, and Jan Sommer from Inter completes the top five with 132 saves.
In an article analyzing Courtois’ game, Marca journalists emphasize that the goalkeeper’s reliability was the key factor that allowed Real Madrid to avoid a major crisis in 2025.
