The reason – “Egnatia” in parallel was negotiating with the potential replacement of Aliyev, Brazilian Centralbeck. It was not possible to negotiate, so the club decided to leave Aliyev in the composition, not to stay without a central defender on the eve of the match of the League of Conferences.
23-year-old Aliyev, whose contract belongs to Egnatia, spent 33 matches in the Albania Championship last season. He also has experience in speeches for the Azerbaijan National Team, for which he made his debut in November 2024 in the League of Nations match against Sweden.
