The documents that the club submitted to the Ukrainian Football Association states that the main arena of the Poltava Insurance Company is the Vorskla Stadium named after Alexei Butovsky. Confirmation is allegedly a contract for the joint use of sports facilities, signed with FC Vorskla on February 20, 2025.
According to sources, the parties interpret the content of this agreement differently. In Poltava, they are convinced that the Butovsky Stadium is entitled to use for matches. Vorskli insists: it is only a training field with artificial coverage, which rents Poltava for training. The main arena, according to Vorskla’s representatives, is not part of the agreement, but the documents provided by Poltava to the UAF were called counterfeit.
Moreover, the Butovsky Stadium is currently officially used by FC Vorskla as the main base of all teams of the club, including the female, which performs in the European Cups. And even in the case of a potential agreement on compatible use, the arena would need to be adjusted to another command.
In addition, the situation is complicated by the fact that this stadium is in parallel in the documents as the reserve arena of Kharkiv Metalist 1925. It is suggested that the Kharkiv team may be interested in not getting a certificate and not going out to UPL, because then the chance that the place in the higher division will be given to Metalist 1925.
The stadium “Nika” in Alexandria indicated as the backup arena of Poltava. According to the source, the local team does not object to it. However, according to the regulations, the club is obliged to have a complete basic arena where it will hold home matches.
Thus, the participation of the Poltava Insurance Company in UPL remains in question – the fate of the club will decide the UAF certification committee.
