Manchester City, the current champion of the English Premier League, is accused of violating financial fair play.
As you know, the club is currently undergoing a trial, during which 115 violations, which were allegedly committed by them, are being considered at once. “Citizens” are threatened with monetary sanctions, as well as possible exclusion from the Premier League.
EPL clubs believe that a possible deduction of points will not be a sufficiently severe punishment for “Manchester City” for violations.
As an alternative punishment, it was allegedly proposed to withdraw points from “Manchester City” for several seasons in a row.
At the moment, “Manchester City” is the sole leader in the EPL, having 12 points out of 12 possible.
