Italian goalkeeper “Manchester City” Gianluigi Donnarumma told that the team’s striker Erling Holland convinced him to move to City from PSG.
“Holland persuaded me to join here for a long time. I am happy to play under management [Хосепа] Guardiola,” Donnarumma said.
On September 1, 2025, the club announced the conclusion of an agreement with the goalkeeper. The cost of the transfer was 35 million euros. Donnarumma, 26, signed a contract with the English club until the summer of 2030.
It was previously reported that the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) recognized Gianluigi Donnarumma as the best goalkeeper in the world in 2025.
