– Did the Carpathians try to play to keep the result?
– I think, on the contrary, the game was completely under our control. In that situation, the boys decided to play the attacks calmly, because the opponent was low. There was no point in us rushing, at that moment we were winning 1:0. In this way, we wanted to pull Kryvbas to ourselves and then look for free space. Once again, the opponent sat very low. In order for them to step up and open up space for us deep and between the lines, we needed to pull them out. For this we had to hold the ball, provoke the opponent and use the space. Or the whole game would turn into a serve, a fight, a rebound, a shot. I want you to understand that the guys are working very productively. I will not compare with other teams, but we had games when the opponent sat low and we performed a lot of crosses, tackles, kicks. In the past, moments were created differently than they are today. I think this is a step forward.
– If it wasn’t for Oleksandr Kemkin’s withdrawal, the game would have been different.
– This is the theory of probability. If we discuss it now, we will enter another universe (smiles). I can’t answer this question, because I don’t know. But in my opinion, the game would not change from beginning to end. We would dictate our terms and win this game. Even with equal compositions.
– Did the lack of victories at home put pressure on the team?
– Not that it was pressing. You see, we wanted to present a victory to all our fans, to all those who criticized us, who shouted obscene words at the head coach’s back from the stands. We believe that the team does not deserve the comments that came from the sidelines. The team deserves support and it proved it. Can you name at least one person on the pitch today who couldn’t care less about the game? And our lineup changes due to injuries and disqualifications. But the boys leave and it is not visible who is the substitute… Everyone criticized Paulo Vitor, but I understand that he quickly learned the Ukrainian language and read all the comments, all the criticism. I think he proved today what he is capable of and I hope that he will continue to demonstrate it to us.
– Why does the team look stronger during the injury epidemic than when the personnel situation is better?
– This is life and it happens when we count on one thing, and then something else turns out. Similarly, no one expected that Oleksii Sych would recover for so long. We thought less, but it happened. Again, we work on it every day and it’s their responsibility. You understand that every person who wears the emblem of the Carpathians on his chest clearly understands what he is doing here. Every day, going out on the football field, or being in our environment, I don’t give myself any slack in the sense that something will happen, and I’m not ready. They are ready and preparing for it. And vice versa, they are often upset that they do not go on the field. Today, Volodya Adamyuk said that he wanted to go on the football field and was waiting for it. But I replied that all positions in the attack were occupied.
– What is the team missing in the completion phase?
– Just like you, I want every kick of our football players to end in a goal. The more, the better. But while there are certain circumstances, we lack a little lightness in these moments. I think you can see the improvement in the game and it will be even better. The boys understand this and today they really wanted to give victory to the fans.
– Today, the team did not play in the traditional green and white colors again. Some of the fans have a question, who makes the decision to play in the red and black uniform?
– We have heard about many superstitions, they say that this form is not good, the team will not win in it. But, excuse me, I will allow myself a little statistics. How many times did the Carpathians not win in the Kirovohrad region?
– About 25 years.
– And now twice in a row. And everyone is silent about it. Everyone was waiting, but no one spoke. How long has the team not won in Cherkasy?
– She won once. In the Second League.
– I didn’t know about that. I knew they never won. We need to talk about it. The guys do a good job every day. Sometimes it doesn’t show up on the football field or in the standings. But believe me, we all do everything together to make you satisfied.
