Barcelona confirmed the transfer of the Champions League winner Deco said the club is closing in on a deal for Joao Cancelo

Sports director of the Catalan “Barcelona” Deku confirmed information about the signing of the wing defender of the Saudi Al-Hilal and the national team of Portugal Joao Cancelo:

“We hope he will join us. We are finalizing the signing process. Cancelo has yet to undergo a medical, but will soon fly to Barcelona to do so. We are going to close this deal.”

In the 2025/26 season, Joao Cancelo played 6 matches at the club level, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his value at 10 million euros.
