– There is nothing good about losing a football match, but if you look for positives – there were exactly a few. Losing 0: 2, we did not give up, tried to go back to the game – and that’s what we did. We already had two wonderful moments that we did not realize, and then Chelsea was very dangerous to contradaciating several times.
When we scored 1: 2, I thought, “And suddenly something else will be …”, but it doesn’t seem to me that there was a moment when we were really close to another goal. As a result, a fair penalty and 3: 1 in favor of Chelsea. This may be the opposite situation to our home match, where we owned the ball, and they won. Now everything is the opposite.

– It is never in one player. But one of the key qualities of home is the intensity of his pressing. You can invent any tactics, but the intensity of pressing determines the result. It doesn’t matter what I invent – if we play intensively, it is very difficult to play against us. And the house has this quality – so he played so much this season.
– Why did Federico Ciez appear late?
– Because I decided to release other players first. I have already released Darwin Nunes, so it was not a position for Chieza. Then Kody Hacpo – I liked it today, played great, and in recent weeks I have repeatedly changed it. Mo salah is always a player who can score, so I first did other replacements. In the end, as everyone expects me here-we risked, cleaned the defender, released Federico. This led to our goal, but unfortunately, it is not enough time to really affect the game.
– Did the status of the champion and rotation of the composition for the game influence?
– We will never know this. But today we have seen a lot that was typical throughout the season. We were again passing the rival’s high press and creating moments in the last third. But I also saw how we were defending today – not quite as used. The last percentage of quality was not at our usual level. We so often reached the last third, but we usually create more moments.
It can mean two options: either Chelsea played very well in both penalties, which is true, or it says something about us. In general, it was a good game, but the last percent was not enough to win this match. At the moment in front of their two goals, our player slipped. Would it happen if the match was still at stake? Yes or no – we will never know. But in the Premier League, everything is solved. Especially against such a team as Chelsea, with so many quality players – then you just can’t make such mistakes.
– What about chelsea fans will say during the corridor of honor?
– To be honest – I didn’t hear. I heard only our fans almost all the match. I just heard that they could not come by trains – I had to be on the cars. But they managed and were loud all the match. I did not hear any whistle – only our fans who sang.
– What did the team learn this season, what can you bring with you to the next?
– that everything is solved. It was constantly throughout the season – both in victories and today. They slipped twice – and missed two goals. PSG is an incredible match, perhaps the best at home, where we dominated the second half. We just waited for a goal, but not scored. Then the players were tired, I did a lot of substitutes.
We were lucky to reach the penalty, but – talking about the little things – we lost the series, and now PSG in the semifinals, and we are not. Everyone has quality players – in Chelsea, in City, Arsenal, Villa … And we also have. But everything is solved. And so you need to work every three days to score so many points. We did this this season. And if we want to fight again, it is a minimum that will need to be repeated.
– Will Chelsea be a threat next season?
– I expected that they would be a threat this season, because they were better than us at Enfield. They were very close. For me, it was a complete surprise that we are now ahead of 19 points or how many. I didn’t feel it at all when we played with them. It speaks of how well we have performed. If a team with this quality is not only at the base, but also in a deep composition – and we still ahead of it to 19 points, then it is a great praise to our players.
