We spend the year 2025 – another year of unjust war, another year of struggle for our freedom and independence. The past year was difficult and difficult, but we passed it with dignity. And I am convinced that we will definitely stand up, because behind us is the truth and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
These days, it is especially important to say a big thank you to everyone, thanks to whom Ukraine remains strong and invincible. First of all, to our soldiers who, with weapons in their hands, courageously defend their native land from the enemy at the cost of health and life. We are infinitely grateful to them and bow low to their feat. We thank the volunteers who help the front and peaceful people. We thank the energy workers who do everything possible and impossible to ensure that Ukrainians have light and heat in their homes. And we thank every Ukrainian – every one of you who, with your daily work, faith and support, brings our common Victory closer.
2026 will be a special year for Shakhtar – the club will celebrate its 90th anniversary. This is a beautiful and important date that once again emphasizes our great history and glorious traditions. But it obliges – in such a year, maximum results are expected from the team, and I am sure that our players and the coaching staff will do their best to please our fans with a bright, beautiful, attacking game.
We strive to win in all tournaments in which we participate. We will do everything possible so that in 2026 we have only gold medals of the championship of Ukraine in our hands. And I know for sure that we are used to hearing the anthem of the Champions League, so we will make every effort to make it play again for Shakhtar and Ukrainian fans.
And, of course, together with you, we will continue to do the most important thing – to bring Victory and the long-awaited just and lasting peace closer. This is the most important wish that every Ukrainian makes on New Year’s Eve. May the dream of millions of people become a reality in the new year!
