The head coach of Tottenham Thomas Frank commented on his future in the London club against the background of the protracted crisis in the English championship. Spurs are winless in the Premier League for eight matches in a row and have fallen to 16th place in the standings.
Despite the pressure and dissatisfaction from the fans, the Danish specialist shows confidence in his own positions:
“I believe 1000 percent that I will keep my job. I am also 1000 percent sure that I did not expect to be in such a situation with 11-12 injured players,” said Frank.
The coach emphasized that the team is going through a difficult period, but urged not to panic:
“Before me here at Tottenham and at many other clubs, there were people who lost their heads. I have to stay calm. We have to get through this together. There is a lot of research that shows that sacking a coach is not the right decision,” he added.
“We understand that we are not in the best situation. But, as in everything in life, you need to keep calm and move on.”
Both the head coach and players were booed by fans before and after the game against Newcastle, a sign of growing tension around the club.
