Edson, a newcomer to the Lviv Carpathians, talked about learning the Ukrainian language. His words are quoted by the official website of the “Green and White”.

“After I started playing outside of Brazil, I always wanted to learn languages: Ukrainian, English, Spanish when I played in Mexico. Here I learned a lot through communication.

It was not a problem for me to spend time with Ukrainians and get to know their families. I want to continue to study Ukrainian and other languages, thinking about the future. A football career is short and we never know what will happen next.

I try to learn at least one Ukrainian word every day. If you speak to me slowly, I can already understand the general meaning. If you say a long sentence, I will understand five out of ten words and already know what you want to say. It is very important for me,” said Edson.
