The contract with the 20-year-old football player is designed for five and a half years. According to the journalist Fabrizio Romano, the amount of the agreement was 16 million euros, and another 4 million are provided in the form of bonuses. This sale became a record in the history of Elche.
In the current season, Mendoza played 20 matches in all competitions at the club level, scoring two goals and one assist. The young defender is seen as a promising reinforcement of Atlético’s defensive line for the coming seasons.
Lukman previously moved to Atletico.
