Burnley officially announced the signing of a contract with English midfielder James Ward-Prowse. The club’s press service announced this on its Instagram page.

According to an official statement, the 31-year-old midfielder has joined the team from West Ham on loan until the end of the current season. “We are delighted to confirm the arrival of midfielder James Ward-Prowse, who joins the club on loan until the end of the season,” Burnley said in a statement.

The arrival of Ward-Prowse is a major boost to Burnley’s midfield. The player is known for his incredible work efficiency, field vision and of course his benchmark execution of set pieces, which will be a formidable weapon for his new team in the second half of the season.

Currently, Scott’s wards are in 19th place with 15 points. The distance to the nearest pursuer — West Ham — is 5 points.
