Zhytomyrske Polissya continues preparations for the second part of the UPL season. Today, the team met in a friendly match with the Canadian Vancouver Whitecaps, which plays in the MLS.

The highlight of the match was the return to the field of world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs). The 39-year-old athlete came on in the 75th minute, replacing forward Mykola Haiduchyk, when the score was already 2:0 in favor of Polissia.

The match ended with the victory of the Zhytomyr club with a score of 2:0. The goals were scored by Nazarenko (4 minutes) and Hutsulyak (64, penalty).

We will remind that Polissia is currently holding training sessions in Marbella, where the team has already played two control games at the start of the year: a 0:0 draw with Legia and a 2:1 victory over Derry City.
