The leader of Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich, spoke about a possible boycott by the German national team of the 2026 World Cup. His words are quoted by Bild.

“I no longer wish to participate in political discussions. We’ve realized that it doesn’t do any good for us players to be too vocal about our political views.

Of course, to some extent, we also have a responsibility to speak our minds. However, I believe that there are other experts in Germany and the German Football Association who know better about these issues and should comment on this,” Kimmich said.
