Galatasaray lost to Atletico Madrid in the match of the 7th round of the main round of the Champions League. The match in Istanbul ended with a score of 1:1.

The guests opened the scoring in the 4th minute — Giuliano Simeone scored with a header after Ruggeri’s pass. The hosts quickly leveled the game and equalized in the 20th minute: Marcos Llorente cut the ball into his own goal.

After the break, the teams fought evenly with chances at both goals. Galatasaray came closest to victory, but Jan Oblak saved Atletico several times, including in stoppage time.

The draw left both clubs with a chance to reach the 1/8 finals – everything will be decided in the last round.
