Inter — Arsenal 1:3 Video goals and review of the Champions League match
After the end of the game, the head coach of “snakes”, Christian Kivu, commented on the performance of his own team.
“I’m never worried. We knew the road wouldn’t be easy. Among the pluses is the growing intensity of the game and courage. We’re waiting for the match tomorrow, but if we have to, we’ll be ready for the playoffs.
We knew Arsenal’s strength, the way they create chances on the wings and in the box. On the few occasions when we won tackles, we managed to create but lacked composure and precision. Chances that are given to you must be implemented. Arsenal deserved to win, congratulations to them.
They were stronger in intensity, technique at speed, positioning on the pitch and ideas in attack. We tried to stay in the game and had a good first half, at 1:1 we could have scored. We were unlucky with the goal from the set piece – the ball hit the crossbar and bounced on the player’s head.
In the second half, they raised the level of concentration and we were already struggling to create chances, plus they had some good substitutions that made things difficult.
Arsenal impressed me more than other teams – the play and control are always impeccable. Saka creates a lot of problems in the penalty area. The Premier League is top in terms of intensity, in Italy we are not used to that yet and I am trying to convey something to the team in this regard, although it is not easy.
In general, it’s a shame – against Liverpool and Atletico, with more attention and maturity, we could have taken something. I think about our growth in terms of maturity: if we played with them now, we would get more.
Two games more or less makes little difference. Don’t think about it, other teams in Europe play the same way as us. I will not complain if I have to play two more games – so be it,” said the Romanian specialist.
Inter Milan will play an away match against Borussia Dortmund in the final round.
