According to Sky Sports, Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko is leaving for the Netherlands on Monday, where the player is close to joining Ajax on loan until the end of the season.

Zinchenko is expected to undergo a medical examination and sign a contract within the next two days.

The rights to the player belong to Arsenal, but the 29-year-old Ukrainian spent the first part of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he played only 10 matches in all competitions. In order to move to Ajax, the lease will have to be interrupted.

Zinchenko is under contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2026 and the player is keen to play regularly in the first team, which was the main reason for his move to the Netherlands.
