The 1-2 defeat by West Ham was perhaps the turning point in Thomas Frank’s career in North London.

Callum Wilson’s decisive goal in stoppage time not only gave the Hammers victory, but also provoked a storm of fury in the stands, with Spurs fans sending the Danish specialist off with chants of “Sacked in the morning”.

After the match, Frank looked dejected, but found the strength to comment on the hostile atmosphere in the stadium. In an interview with the BBC, the coach emphasized that he understands the pain of the fans.

“It’s an unpleasant feeling, but I understand the disappointment. We lose to a big London rival. There’s nothing worse,” the Tottenham coach admitted.

Frank also tried to defend his players from criticism, emphasizing their dedication: “We couldn’t win at home, although we are working very hard on it. We hope that the fans will see the effort of the boys. They are really trying hard. We did everything we could in the second half,” emphasized Thomas.

Despite the rumors about the dismissal and the open hostility of the stands, Frank assures that the club is still on his side. “I feel support from everyone, everyone wants the same thing – long-term success. We do a lot of things behind the scenes, but we don’t get results, which is extremely important,” summed up the coach.

Franko has little time to correct the situation, and the schedule of matches looks threatening. In the near future, Tottenham will be tested in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht. In the EPL, the situation is not easier: after leaving for Burnley, the team will face duels with giants – Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, and on February 22, the main test will take place – the North London derby against Arsenal.
