The leadership of the Tigers made it clear that they had no intention of saying goodbye to their leader. Al Ittihad head coach Sergio Conceição has vetoed a possible sale, as he considers Kante a key figure in his project and the foundation of the team’s midfield.
“Instead of losing leaders, we plan to strengthen the squad. The following signings should strengthen the team this winter transfer window,” the club said.
N’Golo Kante’s contract with the Saudi club runs until June 30, 2026. The French central midfielder moved to Al Ittihad in July 2023 after making more than 260 appearances for Chelsea in London. Since then, he played 101 games for the new club, scoring 9 goals and providing 10 assists.
