Kovalets made his debut for the team on July 22, 2018 in a match against Carpathians, becoming a true symbol of the club. In the championships of Ukraine, he played 154 matches and scored 26 goals – both figures are club records. Also, the football player has 6 matches in the Cup of Ukraine, 6 in the Europa League and 1 in the Conference League.
“Thank you for everything, Legend! Forever in history, forever in our hearts,” says the club’s statement.
At the beginning of August 2025, Kovalets was transferred to the youth team after being sent off in the UPL match against Kudrivka. In the current season, he played only two matches for the main team, he did not stand out with productive actions.
