Eintracht quickly took the lead – in the 5th minute, Rasmus Christensen accurately headed in after a corner kick. Stuttgart responded with an active game and managed to turn the tide of the match even before the break: first, Ermedin Demirovic took advantage of the goalkeeper’s mistake in the 27th minute, and later Deniz Undav put the hosts ahead by closing Vagnoman’s pass.
Frankfurt stepped up their aggression in the second half and were rewarded for their persistence, with young debutant Ayoub Amaymouni equalizing in the 80th minute with a long-range strike just three minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Stuttgart had the final say, however, with Nicolas Narti, recently back from a long injury, closing in on Carazor’s cross to score his first Bundesliga goal in the 87th minute.
In stoppage time, Eintracht tried to save themselves, but Stuttgart persevered and brought the match to victory. This success allowed the “Swabians” to strengthen their position in the Champions League zone.
