Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing talks with midfielder Mario Gotze over a possible contract extension beyond 2026. The current agreement of the 33-year-old footballer runs until the summer of 2026 with the possibility of extension for another yearbut the club is already discussing his future.

Eintracht sporting director Markus Kreschke confirmed the fact of the negotiations, noting that both sides are positive and open to further discussions.

At the same time, Gotze has an alternative option to continue his career — a move to MLS clubs, which remains a relevant direction for him in the future.

As a reminder, the 2014 world champion has been playing for Frankfurt since 2022, he played 140 matches for the team, scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists.
