Loftus-Cheek is highly regarded by Juventus, and head coach Luciano Spalletti has long been interested in signing him. The player is looking to increase his playing time in preparation for the World Cup and although he had the option of joining Lazio, he is not satisfied with that option.
Federico Gatti returns to the Juventus lineup after a meniscus injury, but is currently not the team’s main defender. The player is interested in playing regularly in order to participate in the March qualifying matches of the Italian national team for the World Cup. Milan looking to sign Gatti to bolster defence; head coach Massimiliano Allegri had already worked with him at Juventus.
Previously, Milan tried to exchange another defender for the Turinese, but the deal did not take place. The current offer sees both players on loan until the end of the season, which is seen as a realistic option by clubs, players and coaches.
It was previously reported that Allegri does not want to let Loftus-Cheek go to Lazio.
