Manchester United are looking for a permanent manager to replace Ruben Amorim. As reported journalist Duncan Castellsthe Red Devils included Carlo Ancelotti and Mauricio Pochettino on their shortlist. The club will be ready to discuss the appointment of one of them immediately after the end of the World Cup, which will be held in the summer of 2026.

This schedule is due to the fact that Ancelotti currently works with the Brazilian national team, and Pochettino is the head coach of the US national team. Both teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup, so the specialists will not be able to leave their positions before July.
