The head coach of Liverpool, Arne Slot, spoke on the eve of the match with London Arsenal in the 21st round of the Premier League. His words are quoted by the BBC.

“It’s always unpleasant to say that the fight for the championship is over – anything can happen in football. But the championship race is the last thing we should be talking about right now. We know that because of our position in the table it is very difficult for us to compete with Arsenal for the title.

Right now we are mainly focused on finishing in the top four or top five and getting into the Champions League. And on everything else, for which we can still fight – the Champions League, the FA Cup.

If something unexpected happens, which probably has never happened before, then we will try to be ready for it. But I’m not approaching the match against Arsenal with the championship race in mind. We came to London thinking about winning the match against a very strong team,” Slot said.
