Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has shared his thoughts ahead of the pivotal match of the 21st round of the English Premier League against Liverpool, stressing the importance of the upcoming test for his side.

“This is obviously a very important match against last year’s Premier League champions, we need to prove our ability.

We are at the top of the tournament table, playing at home against a very strong opponent, and we want to maintain our position. And for that, it will be necessary to show a great game throughout the match to win, that’s what we need to show.

We already showed it a few days ago against Bournemouth, after a great win against Aston Villa, and it will continue to be the case.

We understand this because, being in our current position, we want to maintain and extend our success in the league, and for that our determination and desire must match our mood,” Arteta said.
