Midfielder Joshua Kimmich will not help Bayern in the upcoming matches, as reported Kicker. The 30-year-old German footballer will miss the first two matches of the Munich club in 2026 – against Wolfsburg and Cologne.

The midfielder has been struggling with an ankle problem since his last call-up to the national team in November, which has already seen him miss the Heidenheim game. The club does not plan to risk the player’s condition, so Kimmich will return to the lineup only when he has fully recovered from the pain.

This season, Kimmich has appeared in 23 games across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. He currently continues to work on an individual rehabilitation program.

It was previously reported that Bayern is close to extending the contract with Gnabry.
