The 36-year-old goalkeeper spent more than four seasons with the Istanbul team and won three trophies.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has been defending the colors of the Istanbul club since August 2021. During this time, he made a significant contribution to winning trophies – together with the Gunok team, he won the Turkish Cup, as well as becoming the owner of the country’s Super Cup twice.
In the current season, Mert Gunock played 13 matches in all competitions, one of which he finished “zero”, conceded 21 goals and received three yellow cards. At the start of the campaign, he was the main goalkeeper and captain of the team, in particular, he started in the match against Shakhtar, but later Ersin Destanoglu began to get a place in the starting line-up.
In total, during his performances as part of Besiktas, Gyunok played 130 matches, conceded 153 goals and kept a clean sheet 38 times. The club thanked the goalkeeper for his professionalism and contribution to joint success.
