Chelsea defender and captain Rhys James shared his thoughts on the departure of head coach Enzo Maresca, who left his position the day before. The London club has not yet announced the name of the new coach, although the candidacy of Liam Rosenior from Strasbourg is being actively discussed in the media.

According to James, the situation is not easy for the team, but the players have to keep their fighting spirit and support each other.

“The departure of Enzo Maresca? Of course it’s difficult… But we have to fight for each other. We withstood Manchester City and managed to get one point,” the Blues captain said.

The football player also emphasized that the team is not involved in the processes that take place at the level of the club’s management.

“Who will be the next manager? We don’t know anything at the moment. This whole week has been dedicated to the match against City. What happens behind the scenes is beyond our control. We came to Manchester, focused on the game and took a point, managing to get out of a very difficult situation. Now we have to recover. We’ll see what happens in the next few days in terms of the manager,” added James.
