The Ukrainian coach signed a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season with an option to extend it for another year.

The 49-year-old Ukrainian specialist signed a contract with the club until the end of the 2025/26 season. The agreement also includes an option to extend it for another year. Personnel decisions regarding the coaching staff will be announced in addition.
Demchenko’s last place of work was Kazakhstan’s Zhenis, which he left at the beginning of December. Under his leadership, the team took sixth place in the championship of Kazakhstan and reached the semi-finals of the Cup of the country.
In Ukraine, Demchenko is known for his work with Metalurg Zaporizhzhia, Veres, PFC Lviv and Metalist 1925. Abroad, the coach worked for Uzbek Obod, as well as Georgian clubs Dila Gori and Dynamo Batumi.
Araz-Nakhchivan is currently in 6th place in the Azerbaijan Championship table with 26 points after 16 matches. The team will play its next match on January 23 on the road against the Imishla club.
