The Londoners took the lead twice, but could not hold on to the victory – the visitors’ winger Antoine Semenho played a key role in the 2:2 draw.
Bournemouth opened the scoring in the 6th minute — after Semenho’s long-range shot, David Brooks shot past Robert Sanchez from close range. Chelsea responded quickly, with Semenho fouling Estevan in the penalty area in the 15th minute and Cole Palmer confidently converting the penalty. Eight minutes later, Enzo Fernandez put the hosts ahead with a spectacular shot into the top corner.
However, the advantage of the Londoners did not last long. In the 27th minute, Semenho again executed a dangerous clearance, after which Justin Kluivert closed the feed from several meters, setting up the final score of the match. Despite the fact that Chelsea created moments in the second half, Enzo Maresca’s team could not win.
Chelsea ended up winning just one of their last seven league matches, while Bournemouth extended their winless run to ten matches.
