This season, Cordero played on loan for the Belgian Westerlo, in which he played 8 matches. However, Newcastle decided to prematurely terminate the agreement (expected until June 30, 2026) with the Belgian club and send the player to Spain.

Antonio Cordero joined Newcastle in August from Malaga. It was reported that the winger had specific offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid, but opted for a move to the English club. In the summer, Cordero as part of the Spanish U-19 national team reached the final of the European Youth Championship.
Cádiz is currently sixth in the Spanish Segunda and continues to fight for promotion. The “yellow submarine” will play its next match on January 4 against Deportivo.
